A sophomore basketball player was charged with robbing a market with two other friends. His basketball coach has always stood by him and waited for him outside his court room. "he bought you calls in your juvenile cell, so you could talk to him." this quotes impact on the reader is huge, it makes the reader get a true idea of how this coach thought of this boy and how he truly thought of him as his own son. The comma in this sentence before so makes the reader pause and adds a sense of emotion and gives the reader a true idea of the passion and concern for this kid. The writing style of this article is emotional and sad a line to support this is "my kids even thought of you as brother, and I thought of you as my own son." If I could ask the author three questions they would be, How big of an impact was this boy to his AAU basketball team? What kind of rough house situations caused him to act in such a violent way? How long was he sentenced in the juvenile prison?
