In the book The Book Thief by Markus Zusak I am half way through the book and I have met a few characters but all of them with pretty important roles. The first character is Death which is the narrator and his job is to take the souls of the living when the die. The main characters are Liesel Meminger, Hans Hubermann, Rosa Hubermann, Max Vandenburg, Rudy Steiner. This book takes place in Germany during Hitlers rule with the NAZI party. The town these characters are living in is tough and food is scarce making them turn to stealing in order to survive. The fall and winter are the two present seasons during the book so far. The conflict in my book is the burning of books and the interest in books. The NAZI's are burning all books that are by Jewish authors or go against NAZI thoughts, but Liesel is interested in these books and is trying not to get caught. My prediction for the rest of the book is that Liesel steals so many books that she gets a secret library and distributes the books to readers. This book is related to fahrenheit 451 because in that society they wanted to get rid of books like the NAZI's are trying to do. My overall thoughts of this book are good but I'm hopeing for a little bit more action and a bit more of cliff hanger situations.
